GOLD COAST BEVERAGE PURCHASING POLICES
A. Purchasing Authority
The Purchasing Department was established to ensure that all purchasing activities are carried out in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws as well as the policies established by the management of the company and to follow sound business practices.
B. Purchasing Objectives
· To assist the management of the company with the identification, selection and acquisition of all required materials and services.
· To acquire materials and services as economically as possible within acceptable standards of quality and service while utilizing professional ethics and our best business practices.
· To select the vendor to be used, considering delivered cost, quality required, vendor capability, vendor service record and delivery dates.
· To maintain a consistent and fair policy toward the entire business community, while maximizing the opportunity for small business participation.
C. Signature Authority
Unless authority has been granted to a specific employee by the management of the company, only the Purchasing Department has the authority to enter into a purchase agreement or otherwise obligate Gold Coast Beverage. A properly executed purchase order constitutes a contract that is binding on both the company and the vendor. In all cases these agreements are to be signed by the Director of Purchasing, however, they may also be co-signed by an appropriate representative of the using departments if desired. All documents without an authorized signature will be considered invalid and not binding upon the company.
D. Terms and Conditions
The Gold Coast Beverage General Terms and Conditions and the purchase order (collectively, the “Agreement”) shall constitute the complete and exclusive statement of the Agreement between Gold Coast Beverage and the vendor with respect to the purchase of any goods and/or services. To the extent that vendor terms and conditions conflict with the Gold Coast Beverage General Terms and Conditions, the latter shall control.
