Commitment to the Environment

Our Commitment to the South Florida Environment

South Florida is one of the most beautiful resort destinations in the US. Gold Coast Beverage wants to make sure it stays that way for generations to come. In 2000, we began this process with the addition of balers to each branch. Our efforts have recycled 720,000lbs of plastic and 2 million lbs of corrugated boxes. We also recycle approximately 300,000 wooden pallets annually. A recent conversion from propane to electric forklifts has eliminated carbon monoxide gas from all our warehouses. We have an upgraded fleet of trucks to enhance MPG and a No Idle Policy for drivers and our engine management systems turns off vehicles after five minutes. Our office areas and warehouses have motion detector light switches and lower usage bulbs to reduce electricity consumption. Each year, we try to identify more ways to reduce waste and preserve the environment.

Delivering Perishable Products

Delivering Perishable Products in a Tropical Climate

South Florida is known for its sub-tropical climate. Since we deliver perishable goods in a warm climate, we take extra measures in our product storage and delivery to ensure freshness. Our fleet and facilities must operate at the highest standards in order to keep the beer fresh. Gold Coast Beverage has 4 temperature controlled warehouses. We also maintain a fleet of insulated and refrigerated draft trucks to deliver cold, fresh kegs to our customers. Our commitment is to deliver the freshest product as quickly as possible to our valued retailers.
