2010 Health Fair |
Gold Coast Beverage knows the importance of keeping employees healthy and bringing in medical professional to provide free cholesterol, glucose, and blood pressure test is a great way to do it. This year’s “Better You from Blue of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida” health fair was attended by over 550 employees. Employees received a personal and confidential Wellness Report based on a questionnaire after their screening for blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose. Chair massages were also offered to all health fair participants.
2009 Fourth Quarter Service Awards |
The last of the 2009 quarterly employee awards recognized some of Gold Coast’s best and brightest. One of GCB’s most important commitments is to its employees and part of that commitment is recognizing the employee’s significant anniversaries with bonus checks, gifts, and certificates. An employee’s longevity is a key factor to any company’s success and GCB is proud to recognize Roberto Caban for reaching 25 years of service and Horacio Reyes for his 20 years of service. We also have Filemon Rangel with 15 years of service. 10 year service awards went to Daniel Villa, Leobardo Cabrera, Pete Moquin, and Yanitza Diaz. And of course GCB had 5 year awards for: Pedro Figueredo, Deddy Hernandez, Yasset Arbolaez, Raul Guevara, Garfield Barry, Rafael Rivas, Joel Cruz, Jamell Rangel, Scot Raynor, Eduardo Trujillo, Ismael Bastista, Elvin Espinal, and Michelle Mendizabal.

For the 3rd quarter of 2009 Gold Coast would like to recognize the anniversaries of its committed employees with awards, gifts, and bonus checks. GCB is proud to recognize Pascal Charles Dor for achieving 15 years with the GCB team. Four employees –Leonard Owens, Nestor Sanfeliz, Mirtha Angel, Randolph Sprey- were recognized for 10 years. And Thomas Doises, Arturo Figueroa, Ivan Amaya are three employees that received 5 year service awards.

The second quarter service awards have been presented to Gold Coast Beverage’s employees with significant anniversaries. This quarter GCB is proud to recognize Manuel Lopez for 25 incredible years and Randy Gedman, Raul Otero, and Mauricio Ponce for their 20 years of dedication. Angel Martinez has 15 years of much appreciated work. Employees with 10 years service are: Lys Desir, Yamir Leal, Kurt Emden, Rafael Tavares, Roberto Quevedo, and David Durand. Also among the employees recognized with 5 years are: Andrea Pelaez, Alex Williams, Julio Garcia, Adalberto Nazario, Fernando Pena, Jose Boveda, Eddy Owl, Carlos Tejera, William Gonzalez, Luis Gil, Mitchel Borroto, and Edgar Perez.
Don Trumbly retires after 50 years |
Gold Coast Beverage bids a fond farewell to one of its most enduring employees, Don Trumbly. GCB produced a touching send off for Don with his lovely wife Irene at his side. Don’s retirement after 50 years of service is well deserved and his retirement party included old time friends presenting gifts, checks, and plagues of appreciation.

In March of 2009 Gold Coast Beverage began a program called “Take It Personal”.
This program is intended to promote innovative ideas from our employees that can improve the company’s efficiency, productivity, and prosperity with a cash reward of up to $1,000.
GCB is proud to recognize the first recipient of the “Take It Personal” program Manny Lopez, District Manager, and Miami Off-Premise Division with a cash reward prize of $1,000.

An employee’s longevity is a key factor to any company’s success and GCB is proud of Gustavo Rojas for his 25 years of service and of the three people, Henry Smith, Philippe Nemours and Jerome Poleszak, who have reached 15 years of team work. A ten year service award went to Randy Okun, Bienvenido Valdes, Julio Cesar Suarez, Mike Pritchard, Dennis Andra and a five year award to Karren Rinaldi, Melquiades Blanco, and Maria Valdes.

An employee’s longevity is a key factor to any company’s success and GCB is proud of the three people (Ivo Del Valle, Johnnie Parks, and Joan Sheffield) who have reached 25 years of service. We have Marco Luna with 20 years of service. 10 year service awards went to Alfonso Cushion, Ariell Valdes, Gary Higbee, and Pablo Gomez. And of course GCB had 5 year awards for; Julio Tapanes, Herisee Jackson, Jorge Jaramillo, Warren Williams, and Otis Spates.

It was another festive Halloween at Gold Coast Beverage this year. The best costume contest is always competitive for those prizes and the employees’ imagination is always astounding.

Six employees – Antonio Hernandez, Inocente Gomez, Eduardo Martinez, Sandra Soto, and Ron Lau - were recognized for 10 years. And another twelve employees received 5 year service awards. Gold Coast Beverage would like to congratulate everyone for making us one of the top beer distributors in the industry.

This year’s senior management meeting included a great hockey game with the Florida Panthers. The new GCB logo was unveiled to the delight of all and indicates GCB’s commitment to innovation and success in a challenging future.

The Gold Coast Halloween Spooktacular Event this year has been the most creative yet. We know our employees enjoy the freaky food and frightening beverages but what really gets them howling is the prizes for the costume contest. From heroes to villains, and the pretty to the pretty ugly, our employees always make Halloween a special event.

GCB is proud to have another employee – Robert Lopez to have reached 30 years of service. Then there’s Dario Perez, Oscar Dieppa and Joe Devito who have been with the GCB team for 15 years. Six employees – Louis Askew, Max Moriyon, Jose Lopez, Thomas Longo, Mike Cafferty, and Ron Blevins - were recognized for 10 years. Five-year service awards were handed out to 26 employees. Having Long term employees is what has made GCB the number in the industry.

GCB’s annual family picnic was held earlier than usual this year to take advantage of the wonderful Florida weather. This year’s theme was an island luau complete with beautiful Polynesian dancers. This picnic is a favorite amongst the employees because of the food, drinks, and incredible prizes.

Holiday Festivities |
The Christmas holiday is one of the busiest times of the year at Gold Coast Beverage but our employees still find time to decorate, celebrate, and spread good cheer. Each of the Gold Coast departments decorated with astounding creativity. Who would have thought that using beer logos as ornaments and trimming could look so amazing. Could this be a new trend in Holiday decorating? It just may catch on. Of course Gold Coast had its annual holiday feast with Santa handing out excellent gifts like a 26” flat screen TV.

GCB believes that the contribution of all of its employees is important and for all of them to understand how they rely on one another. The annual Sales & Operations Breakfast brings together two areas of GCB business that depend on each other for success. One way of achieving this is by having the employees of these two separate departments sit down at a breakfast together to discuss issues and form closer bonds.
