This year’s senior management meeting included a great hockey game with the Florida Panthers. The new GCB logo was unveiled to the delight of all and indicates GCB’s commitment to innovation and success in a challenging future.

The Gold Coast Halloween Spooktacular Event this year has been the most creative yet. We know our employees enjoy the freaky food and frightening beverages but what really gets them howling is the prizes for the costume contest. From heroes to villains, and the pretty to the pretty ugly, our employees always make Halloween a special event.
2007 Third Quarter Recognition Awards | |
At the beginning of the 2007 3rd quarter Gold Coast took a moment out to recognize the significant anniversaries of its committed employees with certificates, gifts, and a significant bonus check. GCB is proud to have another employee – Robert Lopez to have reached 30 years of service. Then there’s Dario Perez, Oscar Dieppa and Joe Devito who have been with the GCB team for 15 years. Six employees – Louis Askew, Max Moriyon, Jose Lopez, Thomas Longo, Mike Cafferty, and Ron Blevins - were recognized for 10 years. Five-year service awards were handed out to 26 employees. Having Long term employees is what has made GCB the number in the industry.

Congratulations to our 2007 2nd quarter employees whose commitment to Gold Coast has made it a success. GCB’s enjoys recognizing the employee’s significant anniversaries with bonus checks, gifts, and certificates. Just a few of the employees recognized this quarter are: Manuel Mercado for 35 years, Mae Darity & Winston Warren for 25 years, Douglas Rodriguez for 20 years, Sergio Benitez for 15 years, Ernesto Diaz and Vincent Hartley both have 10 years of service.

Gold Coast Beverage has handed out its first recognition certificates and awards to the employee’s with significant anniversaries. These bonus checks, gifts, and prizes always put a smile on the employee’s face.

GCB’s annual family picnic was held earlier than usual this year to take advantage of the wonderful Florida weather. This year’s theme was an island luau complete with beautiful Polynesian dancers. This picnic is a favorite amongst the employees because of the food, drinks, and incredible prizes.

St. Patrick’s Day is always a much-loved time of year for our lad and lassies to extol the fine qualities of our favorite Irish beers.

Holiday Festivities | |
The Christmas holiday is one of the busiest times of the year at Gold Coast Beverage but our employees still find time to decorate, celebrate, and spread good cheer. Each of the Gold Coast departments decorated with astounding creativity. Who would have thought that using beer logos as ornaments and trimming could look so amazing. Could this be a new trend in Holiday decorating? It just may catch on. Of course Gold Coast had its annual holiday feast with Santa handing out excellent gifts like a 26” flat screen TV.
Annual Sales & Operations Breakfast | |
GCB believes that the contribution of all of its employees is important and for all of them to understand how they rely on one another. The annual Sales & Operations Breakfast brings together two areas of GCB business that depend on each other for success. One way of achieving this is by having the employees of these two separate departments sit down at a breakfast together to discuss issues and form closer bonds.
Thanksgiving Potluck | |
One of GCB’s favorite holydays is Thanksgiving. Our wonderful employees bring in lots of home made goodies that complement the luncheon. We always end up putting on more than a few extra pounds but it’s all worth it.

3rd Qtr Service Awards | |
Each quarter Gold Coast takes a moment to recognize the significant anniversaries of its dedicated employees with certificates, gifts, and the all important bonus check. GCB is proud to have three more employees - Henry Kutos, James Crist, and Emmanuel Pierre - reach their 20th year of service. Two employees, Frank Avitabile and Pedro Dueno, were recognized for 15 years, and Donald Wilson has 10 years of service. Five-year service awards were handed out to Edwin Santiago, Reggie Rine, Cristobal Roig, Cairo Corea, Gilda Vera, Richard Robinson, Jesus Montenegro, and Rigoberto Rodriguez.
Special Olympics Sponsorship | |
In its dedication to the community Gold Coast sponsored the Special Olympics’ Broward soccer team that won the gold medal. This was the first occurring National Special Olympic held in Ames Iowa. Pictured is Alfonso Fernandez receiving a plaque of appreciation from our Special Olympian Jason Andra who is an inspiration to us all. Also pictured with Jason is his father Dennis Andra (in the white shirt) who has a lot to be proud about.

Gold Coast had a number of employees who reached key anniversaries recently. Art Friedman, Alfonso Fernandez, and Lourdes Barsky were on hand to give these dedicated employees their gifts, certificates, and most importantly, a nice bonus check!
Annual Supervisor Event: GCBD Poker Tournament | |
Gold Coast recently held its annual Supplier/Supervisor event, and this year it was a Texas Hold 'Em Poker tournament. Everyone had a lot of fun even though most people were beginners. The big prizes for the day were a Las Vegas trip for a Gold Coast Employee and a crew drive for one of our Suppliers. Thanks to everyone who made it a great event!
2006 Company Picnic | |
In May 2006, we held our annual company picnic. This year's theme was a Western rodeo. Everyone had fun seeing their friends and families together.
Annual Sales Conference | |
In January, we held our 7th Annual Sales Conference where we reviewed our great results from 2005 and got fired up for an even better 2006! There was a lot of enthusiastic speakers and solid information to go out and win our market. Then, the trade show afterwards was fun for everyone - our suppliers did an excellent job with their booths and the entertainment.
